The Saudi Arabian GP is set to host the first race of the 2024 season.
The news emerged from a statement from the Victorian state government confirming a contract extension for the Australian GP, with the capacity to host season-openers, but that Saudi Arabia would do so in 2024 "out of respect for Ramadan".
Both the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian grands prix requested their 2024 races do not coincide with the observance of Ramadan, which will take place between March 10 and April 9 in 2024.
It appears likely therefore - though not confirmed by F1 - that a Saudi Arabian GP opener could be on March 5, 2024.
Bahrain and Australia are likely to rotate as season-opening venues for the other years.
