Leeds' Klich joins Rooney at DC United
DC United have signed Mateusz Klich from Leeds until the end of 2024, with an option to extend the deal for a further 12 months.Wayne Rooney, the MLS side's head coach, told the club website: "Mateusz is a first-rate midfielder who will add top-level experience to our roster.
"I’ve been watching him since he helped lead Leeds to promotion to the Premier League and his vision, range of passing and scoring ability will be a huge asset for us this season.”
Klich left the field in tears at the end of Leeds' 2-2 draw with West Ham earlier this month, while his team-mates wore shirts bearing his name.
It was the Poland international's final appearance for the club.
