Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on why his team have had so many injuries this season:
"Some, not only the immediate impact, from last season. Diogo was injured in the international period and then got injured again. Some injuries were done by long season [last term then a] short break.
"Ibou and Virg were after the World Cup, the amount of games might have had an impact. We had bad knee injuries with Luis, Ibou’s first injury, of course it depends on each other.
"The most difficult thing is when you have too many injuries and the other players have to play too often and they get injured, then you have to wait for them.
"We didn’t have the full squad on the training pitch, but it was without Thiago and Lucho, so we had 27 players on the pitch without goalkeepers.
"The squad isn’t small. Now we don’t have that amount and it will be decisively important. "
