Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Man City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte will miss the tie with illness.

"They are not ready," he said. "The weekend? I don’t know.

"That’s what it is during the season, sometimes some moments happen. Kevin didn’t feel good right after Nottingham on Sunday and yesterday Aymeric didn’t feel good.

"Another player is going to play. It happens sometimes."
