The Saturday card from Fair Grounds features the Louisiana Champions Day Turf. The contest looks to a wide open affair which is likely to see several at the top of the market.

  • #6 SPREADING RUMORS (4-1) gets the top selection. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
  • #7 RONALDS GATSBY (3-1) should be competitive in this spot. He makes sense on speed figures.
  • #8 HARD KINGS (5-2) could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
  • #4 STONE ALLIANCE (4-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. He should be part of the early pace.

  • #1 AFIKOMAN (9-2) runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.
  • #5 MAJESTIC MANDATE (7-2) has races good enough to beat this group. This one should be part of the early pace in this spot.
  • #2 BUCKY BIK COIN (9-2) isn't without hope. He makes sense on speed figures. This one is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.

  • #4 OVA CHARGED (2-5) looks best here. She has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. This one has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
  • #3 WINNING ROMANCE (5-1) feels like a fringe contender in this spot. She shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance.
  • #5 SNOWBALL (12-1) is a price horse and could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
  • #2 SPIRITED BEAUTY (8-1) isn't without hope. She looks to be the class of the field. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.

  • #2 HUNTRESS FOR HIRE (5-2) debuts here and goes out for the Stall barn and gets Hernandez in the irons. This one has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
  • #4 TOPSY (2-1) debuts here and isn't without hope. The breeding fits here. The morning line is promising as well.
  • #5 PELICAN LANE (7-2) goes out for the Foley barn and gets Morales in the irons and appears well respected for the first start.

  • #2 MOTOWN MISSILE (5-2) is the top pick. He shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
  • #9 GIANNIS (3-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He makes sense on speed figures. This one projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.
  • #4 LET'S GO RANDOM (6-1) comes into the race in really good form.
  • #7 LA BOUCANE (6-1) has been running well coming into the race.

  • #4 GEORGE ALLEN (3-1) looks best here. He shouldn't have trouble with the 6 furlong distance. This one should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
  • #8 GUTZY (5-1) looks to be the class of the field. This one could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
  • #2 COURTMAN (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. He seems to stack up well enough with these.
