At the Australian Open, the first grand slam tennis tournament of the season, 4th seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic reached the semi-finals in men's singles.

On the 10th day of the tournament held in Melbourne, the quarter-finals came to an end.

Aiming to win his 10th title at the Australian Open and his 22nd title in grand slam tournaments, 35-year-old Djokovic faced the 5th seeded Russian Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals.

Djokovic, who defeated his opponent 3-0 with 6-1, 6-2 and 6-4 sets in the fight that lasted for two hours and 3 minutes, made it to the grand slam semi-finals for the 44th time in his career, 10 times at the Australian Open.

Djokovic was matched with world number 35 USA's Tommy Paul in the semi-finals.

On the other hand, Djokovic, who has won 26 consecutive matches in the Australian Open men's singles main table since 2019, equaled the record for the longest winning streak set by Andre Agassi of the USA in this tournament in 2000-2004.

On the 11th day of the tournament, the women's singles semi-finals will be played tomorrow.

In the semi-finals, Kazakh Elena Rybakina (22) will face Belarusian Victoria Azarenka (24) and Poland's Magda Linette will face Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (5).
