With just three weeks remaining in the regular season, Los Angeles Lakers coach Darvin Ham had some promising news to deliver on LeBron James' injury status.
Ham said before the Lakers beat the Orlando Magic 111-105 on Sunday that he "anticipates" James "would be coming back at some point this season".
James is expected to have his foot re-evaluated by the Lakers medical staff later this week, as well as the fact that reports have suggested he received plasma treatment in Germany to fast-track his recovery.
Without him in the starting five, the Lakers have gone 6-5. They are tied for ninth in the Western Conference with 10 games remaining.
"I think Bron, him being out has revealed that we have a lot of different weapons that are very capable players on both sides of the ball that can help us achieve the goal that we're trying to achieve," Ham said. "And when he comes back, he's just going to add to it."
