2nd seeded Russian Daniil Medvedev reached the final at the Australian Open. Medvedev, 25, who broke his opponent's serve four times in the semi-finals last year, became the opponent of Spanish Rafael Nadal in the final.

In the semi-final match played at Rod Laver Arena, Medvedev faced 4th seeded Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Defeating his opponent 3-1 in sets of 7-6, 4-6, 6-4 and 6-1 in the match, which lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes in total, Medvedev took the final ticket for the second consecutive time in the tournament and for the fourth time in the grand slams.
Medvedev, 25, who broke his opponent's serve four times in the semi-finals last year, became the opponent of Spanish Rafael Nadal in the final.
If Nadal wins the final match to be played on Sunday, January 30th, he will break the record by increasing the number of titles in grand slam tournaments to 21. Nadal, who has 20 grand slam titles, shares the top spot with Swiss Roger Federer and Serbian Novak Djokovic.
In the event that Medvedev lifts the trophy, the Russian athlete will go down in history as the first male tennis player to leave the next grand slam tournament, where he won his first championship in his career in the open period.
Medvedev reached his first career title by beating Serbian tennis player Djokovic 3-0 at the 2021 US Open.
Nadal and Medvedev have faced each other four times so far, all on hard ground. The Spanish athlete left 3 of these matches with a win.
Nadal won his only title at the Australian Open in 2009, beating Federer 3-2.
Strong reaction from Medvedev to the referee
In the second set of the match, Russian tennis player Medvedev reacted heavily to referee Jaume Campistol.
Medvedev, who claimed that Tsitsipas took tactics from his father and trainer Apostolos Tsitsipas in the stands, said to the referee, "Can his father speak after every point? Are you stupid, answer my questions. How can you be so bad in a grand slam semi-final? Look at my face, I'm talking to you. " used the phrases.
After this reaction, Campistol took into account the signal of the Greek referee Eva Asderaki-Moore, who was placed in the tunnel close to Apostolos Tsitsipas, and warned Tsitsipas, the father, who acted illegally.
