Chelsea appear on the cusp of signing Mykhailo Mudryk, a player who seemed set to join Arsenal just a few days ago.Reports suggest Chelsea have agreed a fee with Shakhtar Donetsk after sending representatives to Turkey to seal the transfer.
The 22-year-old Ukraine international was thought to be close to joining Arsenal before Chelsea hijacked the move.
On Saturday a statement appeared on Shakhtar's official Twitter account saying: "FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov and Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali discussed Mykhailo Mudryk's transfer to Chelsea FC".
Adding "Parties are very close to agree on player's transfer to the club."
It's believed the midfielder is in London for a medical, and could be in the crowd for Chelsea's EPL match at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
