Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal Predictions

  • Arsenal have 14 wins in 17 Premier League games.
  • The Gunners won the reverse fixture 3-1.
  • Tottenham have just two wins in their last six at home.

Duo prepare for crucial North London Derby

League leaders Arsenal head to top four chasing Tottenham on Sunday for the latest edition of the North London Derby.
The Gunners won the reverse fixture 3-1 earlier in the season and may well need maximum points to maintain their five-point lead over closest rivals Manchester City, while Spurs are in desperate need of three points as they bid to force their way into the top four.

Arsenal looking for response

Arsenal saw a five-game winning run in the league ended by Newcastle last time out as they were held to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium, although they have since brushed Oxford aside in the FA Cup with a 3-0 victory.
Mikel Arteta’s men were perhaps unlucky not to win that game but they can get back to winning ways against Spurs on Sunday, with the hosts struggling for consistency.
Tottenham have won just one of their last four at home, losing to Newcastle, Liverpool and Aston Villa, and a strong Spurs lineup laboured to a 1-0 win over Portsmouth in the FA Cup last time out.
Spurs look a little disjointed at times and a win for Arsenal stands out as our main bet for this fixture, as the Gunners chase a first victory at the home of their local rivals since an EFL Cup success back in 2015.

Clean sheet unlikely for visitors

Spurs’ home form carried them earlier in the campaign but recently they have struggled, managing just two wins in their last six across all competitions. However, they have only failed to score in one home fixture this season and they should at least be able to get on the scoresheet on Sunday, so a 2-1 win for the visitors has some appeal in the correct score market.
Eddie Nketiah is the form player in the Arsenal attack right now with four goals in as many games since the World Cup break. The 23-year-old can continue to impress in the absence of the injured Gabriel Jesus with a goal in Sunday’s derby.
