The Dallas Stars travel to the city of Angels to take on the Los Angeles Kings in a Western Conference clash of two teams sitting on top.
The Stars have been outstanding, sitting atop the Central division at 23-9-6 and looking to grab another big Western conference win.
The Kings are currently sitting 2nd in the Pacific at 21-13-6 and have racked up 48 points and would love to take advantage of home ice tonight.

The Stars have Been Shining
Dallas has been fantastic early this season, and of late.They have won 3 of their last 4 games and are looking to continue their excellent form tonight against the Kings.
Forward Jason Robertson has blossomed into a superstar this season, scoring 25 goals and racking up 54 points. Robertson along side Joe Pavelski and Jamie Benn have been sensational and have led the Stars on the offensive end.
On the other end of the ice, G Jake Oettinger has been fantastic as well between the pipes, sporting a .921 save percentage and and only allowing 2.36 GPG. He is 17-5-3 on the season and will look to pick up another all important win in LA tonight.
Can the Kings stay hot?
The Kings have won 6 of their last 8 games are looking to stay hot on home ice tonight.One of those losses was last game on New Years Eve against the pesky Flyers, 4-2, so they will be looking to start the New Year on a better note in Crypto.com Arena.
Newcomer Kevin Fiala has been solid for the Kings this year, racking up 27 assists and fitting in perfectly in this Kings style of play.
Surprisingly Centerman Gabriel Vilardi leads the team in goals, and has notched 3 and an assist in his last 5 games.

Prediction
This is going to be a great game to cap off the night on the West Coast. Both of these teams are playing good hockey right now and matchup well.I am going to ride with the better Goaltender here as I could see that playing the biggest factor in this game.
Give me the Stars and Oettinger to have another great performance tonight and ensure the boys from big D get the job done tonight in the City of Angels.
