Slot Description

Retro Tapes has a 9 reel by 6 row setup with the new Clusterlink mechanics. Tapes will collect once they form a cluster of 5 or more of the same tape. Once collected they will spin off and leave space for new tapes to fall in with the potential for more new clusters.

The Wild Tape symbol substitutes for all other symbols except the Magnet and Wild Multiplier symbols and will land on the reel with a 1x multiplier. Each cluster win that the Wild Multiplier symbol is involved in will increase the multiplier by +1. The Wild Tape symbol will spin off when there are no more cluster wins. The Wild Tape symbol is also the scatter symbol, meaning 3 or more landing anywhere on the reels at the same time will trigger the Feature.

The Wild Multiplier symbol is available during both the base game and Top Charts feature. Wild Multiplier symbols will distribute their multiplier value to every present Wild Tape symbol after which it will transform into an Instant Prize symbol of random value.

Instant Prize symbols can land anywhere on the reels instead of tapes. When a minimum of 5 instant prize symbols land their values will be collected. Instant Prize symbols can have values of 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x or 1000x!

The Magnet symbol will randomly pick 1 type of paying symbol and attract all of them present on the reels into a cluster. If the Magnet symbol chooses an Instant Prize with 4 or more symbols present on the reels, it will form a cluster and then transform itself into either the paying symbol or an Instant Prize symbol of a random value.

During the Top Charts feature the Magnet symbol gains additional features. Landing a Magnet symbol during the feature will attract all Instant Prize symbols that aren’t locked within a random range. The Magnet symbol will then transform into a random Instant Prize symbol for a cluster win.

When the Top Charts feature is triggered, all Wild Tape and Instant Prize symbols will stay in place. From there, each Free Spin will land randomly on one of the following symbols: Blank Space, Wild Tape, Wild Multiplier, Instant Prize, Magnet or Extra Spin. Any Instant Prize symbols that land will remain on the reels until the end of the feature, at which point they will be evaluated. All clusters will then be collected.

Retro Tapes Paytable

The paytable in Retro Tapes is dynamic and changes with your stake, the example below is set to £1 per spin. The Grey and Blue Tapes pays up to 5x for a max cluster of 20+ symbols, the Green and Pink Tapes pay 25x, the Orange Tape pays substantially more at 500x and the top symbol of the Red Tape pays a cool 1000x stake respectively. These values can of course all be multiplied by the Wild Tapes!

Final Thoughts On Retro Tapes

Retro Tapes has an RTP of 96.47%, the volatility is rated High and the maximum win is a retrotastic 10,000x stake. The game has similarities to Razor Shark and of course Jammin Jars 2 with the Clusterlink mechanics and in general had more similarities to the latter with an all or nothing feel to it which may not be to every players taste.
