Real Madrid’s latest transfer approach seems to be signing some of the biggest talents from around the world in order to secure the future of the club for the next decade to come. The club have already agreed a mega deal for Endrick of Palmeiras, who will be joining in the summer of 2024. They have also been linked with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Josko Gvardiol, Alphonso Davies and several others in recent times.
When it comes to top talents in the game, one who has had a bit of a rough time in recent years is Nicolo Zaniolo.
After failing to make his mark at Inter Milan, Zaniolo moved to AS Roma as a teenager. There, he would enjoy a stunning rise though and was soon being linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe. But disaster would strike, as serious injuries saw him miss the entirety of the 2020/21 campaign.
Naturally, a lot of the hype surrounding Zaniolo evaporated during that absence. He has since made his return to the pitch though and scored the UEFA Europa Conference League-winning goal for AS Roma. And now, it looks like the eyes of Real Madrid are on him.
Zaniolo’s current deal with AS Roma is believed to run till the summer of 2024, and as a result, it is very possible that he could be available for a bargain transfer fee next summer if he does not end up extending his contract by then.
It remains to be seen if Real Madrid do end up making a move for Zaniolo in the future or not. To be honest, he is going through a rough patch of form in this campaign and will hopefully improve moving forward.
