Parker announced as new Club Brugge boss
Club Brugge have confirmed the appointment of Scott Parker as their new head coach.The 42-year-old was sacked as head coach of Bournemouth in August following a 9-0 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield
Parker had guided Bournemouth back to the Premier League, just three months earlier.
The Belgian champions, currently 12 points behind leaders Genk in fourth place, confirmed that Parker will begin his new role next week.
Club Brugge have reached the last 16 of the Champions League, setting up a tie against Benfica in February, but still parted company with former boss Carl Hoefkens on Wednesday.
Club Brugge had finished ahead of Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid while taking second place in Group B.
