Tennessee built a comfortable division lead and appeared to be coasting towards a third straight division title heading into Week 12.

However, the Titans’ schedule has gradually gotten tougher down the stretch, and slowly, this squad’s offensive struggles have snowballed into a total collapse, with Tennessee now riding an ugly six-game skid consisting of losses to the Bengals, Eagles, Chargers, Jaguars, Texans, and Cowboys.

The Titans’ best shot at beating Jacksonville was on their home turf in Nashville, as a much healthier Tennessee squad took a crack at it back in Week 14. And after falling behind 14-7 early in the first quarter, the Jaguars outscored them 29-7 the rest of the way, while tallying 408 total yards en route to a double-digit victory.

Prior to that matchup, the cat wasn’t entirely out of the bag regarding Tennessee yet, considering the Titans entered their previous meeting with Jacksonville boasting a modest record of 6-6, and it still seemed like they might hold on just long enough to win this miserable division.

The Titans have now lost six straight games, though, and they scored 16 points or less in five of those contests. So, at this point, it’s probably best for Tennessee to just wave the white flag in Week 18 and save themselves from any future embarrassment.

The Jaguars won their first matchup of the year against Tennessee by a relatively distant 14-point margin, and truth be told, I think there’s a good chance they win the second by an even wider gap.
