Nagelsmann return to Bayern progressing - Sky Germany
Bayern Munich are progressing in their attempts to secure the return of Julian Nagelsmann as their head coach, according to Sky in Germany.Bayern are searching for a replacement for Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving at the end of the season, after the club lost their 11-grip on the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen.
Nagelsmann will take charge of Germany at their home Euros this summer but his contract expires after the tournament, meaning he could return to the Allianz Arena, where he spent less than two years in charge before being replaced by Tuchel last March.
Nagelsmann is yet to agree a deal to return to Bayern but discussions have intensified over a three-year deal with the 36-year-old expected to take over at Bayern after Euro 2024.
Bayern had hoped to appoint Xabi Alonso as Tuchel’s replacement but the Spaniard has committed his future to champions Leverkusen.
