Leeds vs Brentford Predictions

  • There have been 60 goals in Brentford’s 19 Premier League matches
  • Both teams have scored in all three Premier League meetings between this pair
  • Both teams have scored in seven of Leeds’s last eight league matches
  • Brentford have drawn eight of their opening 19 league games

Expect entertainment at Elland Road

Brentford thrashed Leeds 5-2 when they clashed in the Premier League way back in September and the goals could flow again in the reverse clash at Elland Road.
These two teams have been great entertainers in the Premier League this season with Brentford’s 19 league games featuring 60 goals (an average of 3.15 per outing), and Leeds’ 18 games contributing 59 goals (an average of 3.27 per outing).
That suggests there could be plenty to look forward to in Yorkshire, especially as both teams have scored in each of the three previous Premier League encounters between the sides.
Both teams have scored in 12 of Leeds’ 18 league fixtures this term, while the net has also bulged at both ends in 11 of Brentford’s 19 league outings.

Attacks should come to the fore

Leeds’s form has tailed off somewhat and their latest 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa stretched their winless run to five, serving a healthy reminder to manager Jesse Marsch that work is still to be done before they guarantee Premier League survival.
That is mainly down to defensive flaws, however, as they have managed only one clean sheet in 11 league outings and have conceded at least twice in eight of those matches.
That should install Brentford, who are unbeaten in seven league games, with plenty of confidence but it is worth remembering that they are less efficient on their travels.
The Bees have won only twice in nine away games, which compares to a record of just one defeat in ten at their beloved Gtech Community Stadium.
Thomas Frank’s visitors have conceded in seven of their nine away games – their two clean sheets came at relegation-threatened duo Bournemouth and West Ham – and they are unlikely to keep a lively Leeds outfit at bay.
Both teams to score & over 2.5 looks the play and, with a thriller expected, correct-score punters may want to opt for a 2-2 draw.
Brentford have drawn eight of their opening 19 league assignments and three of those have ended 2-2, including on away trips to Leicester and Nottingham Forest.
