Leeds, Leicester and Bournemouth chase Kerkez

Leeds, Leicester and Bournemouth are among the clubs monitoring the situation around AZ Alkmaar’s Milos Kerkez.
The 19-year-old – a Hungary international already and ex-AC Milan player – has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in his position in Europe.
He is in no rush to leave AZ however, with the team chasing a Champions League spot and only four points behind Eredivisie-leaders Feyenoord.
But his rising stardom has attracted even bigger clubs to watch him including Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Lazio – so other clubs may have to act now to get him.

Leeds have recently signed left-footed centre-back Max Wober from RB Salzburg, who can also play at left-back, having relied on centre-back Pascal Struijk to play in place of Junior Firpo.
But Sky Sports News understands they are continuing to monitor Kerkez, with a desire to add a new young left-back talent to the squad.
Bournemouth and Leicester also want to strengthen at left-back and are big admirers of Kerkez – and they could provide him the next step in his career.
Kerkez signed for AZ from AC Milan last January for a fee of just £1.77m (€2m) and Milan are understood to have a clause that gives them first refusal on a bid to re-sign him.
Sky Sports News understands, however, that the now £17.75m-rated talent is not keen to go back there.
Kerkez has made 28 appearances for Alkmaar in 2022, including six in the Europa Conference League, scoring three goals in all competitions.
