Irish Charms Slots
Part of what we like about slot reviews is that it gives us an excuse to play games inspired by our old favourites. We’re sure everyone has stories of a release they loved playing, but just stopped for one reason or another. So when the time came to try out Irish Charms, we were quite curious to see how our modern sensibilities would handle it. Is it good enough to compete with the awesome slots of today? There’s only one way to find out: and that’s to keep reading!Good lord almighty, that’s a lot of green! All the stereotypically Irish things can be found both on the board and in the background image. The picture they use is just a whole heap of four leaf clovers overlaid on top of a dark green colour. It actually looks quite stylish, probably because the colour isn’t overused in every other release. And while the symbols themselves look a little bit dated, the actual designs are top notch. Really, the only downside to Irish Charms is that it doesn’t have great animations. Though, that might be asking too much, given its age!
You play this slot on a 3x3 board with 3 flexible paylines, which pay left to right only. And since paylines are flexible, you can turn them on or off to adjust your total bet. This is something we rarely see in Pragmatic Play’s games. In the vast majority of them, you aren’t allowed to touch the number of active paylines! But the developer has committed hard to ensuring the experience of a classic release stays intact. So much so that Irish Charms offers you only one special feature: and that’s Wild icons. If you enjoy no or few bonuses, this will suit you just fine. But for us, this was almost a deal-breaker!
