'Garnacho close to signing Man Utd deal'
Manchester United teenager Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly close to signing a new deal at Old Trafford.The Telegraph reports that the 18-year-old is in advanced talks with United over a fresh contract.
Garnacho's deal runs until June 2025 and the report claims there is optimism at United that they will tie down their brightest young star to a long-term deal.
The forward, who is growing in importance for United, came off the bench on Saturday to set up Marcus Rashford's winner in the 2-1 defeat of Man City at Old Trafford.
Garnacho scored his first Premier League goal at Fulham in stoppage-time to clinch a 2-1 win for United in their final game before the World Cup.
Speaking ahead of United’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, which is live on Sky Sports, United boss Erik ten Hag said of Garnacho: “He has a skill that I don’t see many players in the Premier League having — he beats players one on one.
