Diamonds are Forever 3 Lines Slot Review

Diamonds are Forever 3 Line is a brand new slots title from Top Game and by the looks of things it really wants to tap into the classic slots market. A 3-reel slot machine at heart with a very limited feature set, the game in the eyes of many has gotten of to a questionable start.

This game is another ‘mashup’ of themes, where the diamond theme is mixed with more classic symbols such as sevens. The ‘mashup; idea is actually fairly common, so common in fact that we really wish they had managed to look at taking it in a new direction. That said for a 3-reel, 3 payline game, the game play itself seems fairly well constructed, even if a bit predictable. The following takes an in-depth look at Diamonds are Forever 3 Line, answering the question of whether or not players should give this game time and effort.

Basically Basic Design

If you're looking for something new or different in your gameplay, being honest Diamonds are Forever 3 Line isn't for you. This is a very basic 3-reel game, with just 3 paylines on hand to activate. The title has one bonus feature, which is a wild symbol, along with a top payout of $30,000. Top Game has some very nice themed games, ranging from the most basic 1 payline titles to 25 payline mega payout games, being honest it is hard to see where Diamonds are Forever 3 Line fits into the pact. However, with all that noted, there are some positives to this title, especially from a classic game perspective.

Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend

The theme of this game is one of diamonds, but it doesn't carry through for the entire game as they have mixed the diamonds with other more traditional symbols to make up the reels. There is a very appealing, eye catching dark blue backdrop, which contrasts nicely with the classic white of the reels. The graphics, while a bit on the traditional side, are well done with crisp, sharp images.

The game interface is fairly standard for a Top Game slots game, with the controls being easy to use. It does offer an auto play feature as well, should you decide to settle in and just see wherever your luck takes you.

Speaking on the controls in more detail, they are fairly standard for this type of game, with a basic Top Game type betting system, which has a single coin per line and a betting range from $0.01 to a $5 maximum. The system also allows you to choose which lines you activate, but be warned if you hit wilds on an inactive line you're going to be kicking yourself.

Delving into the Deep Blue

The game has only one bonus feature, which is a blue 7 icon that acts as a wild. Which strikes me a bit odd, as one would expect the game’s title to reflect the star of the show. This is not the case, as the blue Seven is what pays out the big jackpot. There is just one more little inconsistency in the game, which isn't a big deal, but does detract from its overall appeal.

When the Seven (in-game scatter symbol) appears on an active payline it can help the player in a couple of different ways. First, if you fill out the payline with sevens, in other words three across, then you will hit the big jackpot. However, you are far more likely to use them as a substitution to build combinations with the other symbols for smaller payouts.

From Stones to Cash

The payout on the Blue Sevens is 6,000 coins, which equates to a massive $30,000 dollars if the $5 maximum bet is in place. Speaking honestly, while the game may feature a lot of sub par elements, this jackpot is a real show stealer for a number of different reasons.
