Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Predictions

  • Manchester United have won their last nine games
  • Crystal Palace have lost their last three games
  • Crystal Palace have failed to score in four of their last five league games
  • Marcus Rashford has scored in each of his last seven games across all competitions

Second spot up for grabs for United

Manchester United claimed a sensational derby victory on Saturday and they will be looking to back that up with three points at Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
United could move into second spot with a victory at Selhurst Park at least for 24 hours, as Manchester City play Tottenham on Thursday, and they should be able to seize that chance against their out-of-sorts hosts.

Eagles struggling for form

Palace claimed a 1-0 win in May when these sides met in the corresponding fixture last season in the final round of fixtures but a repeat result looks unlikely.
The Eagles have four defeats in five games since the World Cup break, and they have failed to score in their last two league games.
In contrast, United have a perfect record after returning to action following the tournament in Qatar with seven wins in all competitions and they are now on a nine-game winning streak going back to November.

United can keep a clean sheet

Erik ten Hag’s side have only conceded twice in their seven-game winning run since the World Cup and can claim another win to nil, as Palace have failed to score in four of their last five league games
A 3-0 win for the visitors appeals as United have scored exactly three goals in four of their last six games across all competitions, while man of the moment Marcus Rashford is the standout scorer selection as he has found the back of the net in every game he has played since returning from Qatar – scoring eight goals in total.
