They will hope the appointment of Davide Ballardini as head coach represents a turning point, and the new boss could hardly have asked for a better start than Tuesday’s Coppa Italia penalty shoot-out triumph over Napoli. Monday’s visit to Bologna, however, will represent a tough test.Bologna exited the Coppa Italia with a narrow defeat at Lazio on Thursday, but Thiago Motta’s men have been in good form in the league, winning five of their last eight Serie A matches – losing the others against top opponents in Inter, Roma and Atalanta.
