Are Man City going to move for Perrone this month?

South American football expert Tim Vickery told Sky Sports News:
"Maximo Perrone is not Julian Alvarez! He's not someone who I can see having an immediate impact. When Alvarez came across from South America to Manchester City, he was the established star of Argentine football.
"Perrone from Velez Sarsfield only has one year [at professional level] behind him. It's been a very good year as a central midfielder. Velez develop young talent very well and they've been playing a 4-2-3-1 and he's one of the two in the midfield.
"He's box-to-box and two-footed but he's just coming up to turning 20. He's a little bit like when City brought in Douglas Luiz from Vasco. He was loaned out and it was only when he found his way to Aston Villa where he put a string of consolidated performances behind him.
"If the Perrone deal does happen, it's not one for City fans to get excited about now. It's one for the future and that's the way the market is going. Europe are buying the promises to develop them if not at their club then somewhere else."
