AFC Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

  • Nottingham Forest have lost only one of their last six Premier League matches
  • Bournemouth have sustained 11 defeats in 19 league games this term
  • Bournemouth have failed to score in each of their last four league contests
  • No Nottingham Forest player has scored more Premier League goals than Brenann Johnson (four) this season

Relegation looms for struggling Bournemouth

Promoted from the Championship last season, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest were both expected to be in the relegation mix this campaign but one side is faring better than the other at the halfway point in the season.
While the Cherries are just above the drop zone with only 16 points collected from their first 19 matches, Nottingham Forest have established some breathing space between them and the bottom three, having sat in 13th spot ahead of the weekend’s fixtures.
Fans of the Tricky Trees cannot have too many complaints about their club’s overall performance this season and they also have a two-legged EFL Cup semi-final with Manchester United on the horizon.

Tricky Trees exceeding expectations under Steve Cooper

Steve Cooper has done well to gel together a squad featuring 21 summer signings this season but if his side want to maintain their strong position, winning games like this is a must and Forest can draw confidence from the fact they have won their last two league games against Leicester and Southampton.
They did not concede in either of those wins and they should also feel confident in shutting out Bournemouth, who are yet to score in the Premier League since returning from the World Cup break and often look toothless in attack.

Dearth of goals continues to trouble Cherries

The Tricky Trees are worth selecting in the draw no bet market but we also predict a 2-0 win with Bournemouth unlikely to cause the Midlands side too many issues going forwards.
Brennan Johnson was one of Forest’s standout players in the Championship last term and he looks to be finding his feet in the Premier League too with four goals scored in the league this season.
Two of those came in the win over Leicester City last time out and Johnson looks a good bet to score at any time in this contest.
